Update on Medication Management for Obesity (Recorded Webinar) PB25
An important part of the Obesity Medicine provider’s practice, and one of the pillars of obesity care, is considering the use of medications for the treatment of overweight and obesity. Anti-obesity medications can still be misunderstood as a treatment option and are therefore often under-prescribed for this disease. This presentation will review key principles behind the use of anti-obesity medications, review up to date treatment options and expected outcomes including off label use, and emerging pharmacotherapies for the treatment of obesity. By the end of the session, participants will be able to better develop effective treatment strategies using medication, to benefit their patients.
