  • Description: In this session, Faith Newsome will describe her experiences living with obesity, which eventually culminated in her decision to undergo bariatric surgery at 16. Throughout the session, Newsome will bring to life the data and statistics that those working in obesity know well by telling personal stories. Newsome will also identify opportunities for patient-centered care, and for patients to participate in the research process.
