Overcoming Barriers: Physical Activity in Persons with Spinal Cord Injury

Description: 

Attendees will participate in a series of case presentations on managing individuals with obesity and spinal cord injury (SCI).  Cases will explore specific comorbid conditions related to SCI and their impact on ability to engage in physical activity.  Participants will learn to develop specific activity regimens tailored to address mobility limitations of different levels of SCI, and customize treatment plans.  Attendees will learn to adopt strategies designed to benefit both functional mobility and weight management.
