Exercise in Metabolic Health and Weight Loss (Recorded Webinar)
This session will review obesity as a chronic low-grade inflammatory state predisposing to chronic diseases including CAD/CVD and COVID-19 complications. The discussion will include the anti-inflammatory effects of exercise and improvement of metabolic health seen in exercise notably the effects on visceral adipose tissue and insulin resistance. Further discussion on the role exercise has in obesity treatment includes the quantity and type of exercise recommended to prevent weight gain, lose weight, and prevent weight regain.
