Obesity Medicine 2026 - From CPAP to Weight Loss: Improving Outcomes in OSA + Obesity (Recorded)
An estimated 70–90% of individuals with obesity have some degree of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), with prevalence rising sharply alongside BMI and related risk factors. Yet despite this strong clinical overlap, patients with both conditions frequently encounter fragmented care, poor therapy adherence, and suboptimal outcomes. This session presents a unified, evidence-based solution—combining clinical best practices with digital health coaching to drive sustainable, long-term results in this high-risk, underserved population. How to effectively screen and manage patients, monitor adherence, adjust therapy, and integrate weight loss treatments will be discussed. The session will also touch on findings from a recent clinical trial and the latest research evaluating a digital coaching program designed to support behavior change. Treatment strategies will span CPAP, GLP-1 agonists, oral appliances, and digital therapeutics to support lasting behavior change. Together, the speakers will present a scalable, outcomes-focused care model that aligns clinical care with digital support. Attendees will walk away with practical tools to implement multidisciplinary pathways that improve engagement, adherence, and long-term outcomes in patients with obesity and OSA.
