Pediatric Obesity Care: Behavioral and Psycho-Social Support
In this webinar, we will explore critical issues surrounding pediatric obesity, focusing on the psychosocial and communication challenges faced when treating children and adolescents with obesity. Participants will learn about three distinct forms of obesity bias and how these biases can impact care delivery. We will also examine three key psychosocial concerns that children and adolescents with obesity experience, providing insights on how to address these in a supportive, effective way. Lastly, the session will introduce the 5 A’s communication strategy, providing participants with practical tools to engage in compassionate and effective conversations about obesity with patients and their families.
