Then, Dr. Talley will address the physical activity and sedentary behaviors of children and teenagers, both nationally and internationally, during the pandemic leading to weight gain. Next, he will highlight the harmful effects of COVID-19 related weight gain leading to various medical comorbidities, decreased mobility and function, especially in those children with a disability, and lower quality of life. Last, we will look at solutions, including the role of nutrition and physical activity.
