Obesity with sarcopenia poses a dual health concern especially in aging populations. This session will review skeletal muscle changes found in aging patients with obesity and discuss the role dietary protein plays as part of a strategy for preventing muscle loss. Participants will learn the benefits of combining physical activity with nutritional strategies to optimally benefit body composition.
