Incretin medications, like semaglutide and tirzepatide, suppress appetite and delay gastric emptying, facilitating weight loss and begging the question of the need for concurrent behavior change therapy. These medications have been dubbed a “game changer in obesity treatment” and “inflection point in the industry”. They address the biological drivers of obesity - closing the gap in weight lost between lifestyle and surgical approaches.
