Obesity Medicine 2026 - AI in Obesity Medicine: Tools to Boost Efficiency and Engagement (Recorded)
Artificial Intelligence is no longer theoretical—it is already reshaping the way care is delivered in medicine. For obesity medicine providers, AI presents an opportunity to improve clinical efficiency, documentation, patient engagement, and care personalization, all while reducing administrative burden. This session introduces clinicians to the real-world application of generative AI and large language models (LLMs) in obesity care. Rather than focusing on future potential, we will emphasize tools that can be implemented immediately—many of them free or low-code.
Participants will gain a high-level understanding of how LLMs work, how to prompt effectively, and how to incorporate AI into EHR workflows without compromising safety or privacy. We will also explore ethical and operational considerations, including hallucination risk, HIPAA-compliant use cases, and how to keep humans in the loop. Attendees will leave with hands-on examples, a list of recommended tools, and prompt recipes to immediately apply in their clinical setting.
