GLP-1 and Beyond: Integrating Behavioral and Emotional Drivers of Eating (Recorded Webinar)
Obesity treatment is rapidly evolving with the emergence of highly effective pharmacotherapies such as GLP-1 receptor agonists. Yet many patients continue to struggle with emotional eating patterns that medications alone may not address. This session explores the clinical relationship between early life stress, emotional coping patterns, and eating behavior, and how these factors can influence long-term weight outcomes. Participants will learn how behavioral interventions—particularly mindfulness-based and trauma-informed approaches—can complement pharmacologic treatment and support sustainable lifestyle change. Practical strategies for integrating behavioral medicine into obesity care will be discussed.
