Obesity is a complex, chronic, relapsing disease requiring comprehensive, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. Through a patient case, this webinar will explore the biological, environmental, social, and behavioral factors that influence obesity; evidence-based treatment approaches, including lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, and metabolic/bariatric surgery; and the roles of healthcare professionals and health system leaders in reducing weight bias and improving care delivery. Learners will also examine policies, resources, and system-level strategies that support equitable obesity care and consider their application to clinical practice.
