Nutritional Deficiencies in Children and Adults with Obesity (Recorded Webinar)

During this webinar, Dr. Sara Karjoo will review nutritional deficiencies in children and adults with obesity. Studies have shown that people with obesity may have inadequate intake of iron, vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper, folate, vitamins A, and B12, likely as a result of poor diet quality. Although there are many nutritional imbalances, vitamin D deficiency is the most common finding in this population and has downstream metabolic consequences. She will also discuss evaluation and treatment.
