Obesity Management in Primary Care: Challenges and Solutions
This presentation will review the barriers and challenges in receiving obesity treatment as perceived by people with obesity, health care providers and employers, and provide solutions for how these misalignments are easily rectifiable in the primary care setting. During this session receive customized training in obesity management tailored for primary care providers. Additionally, participants will develop individualized dietary treatment recommendations for patients with obesity.
This presentation will review the barriers to effective medical care for persons with obesity as identified in the ACTION (Awareness, Care, and Treatment In Obesity Management) study.
