Obesity Medicine 2024 - Burnout to Balance: Shared Medical Appointments and Telehealth (Recorded)

This session will discuss strategies to increase access to obesity care while mitigating provider burnout. It is time to modernize obesity program design to address rapid program growth, maximize provider productivity, and help to reduce provider burnout. Shared medical appointments (SMAs) are useful for patients with similar chronic diagnoses such as obesity, and allow groups of patients to be seen together. Integrating SMAs and telehealth visits can add useful dimensions to program development.
