This session will include a discussion of how to diagnose and manage lipedema patients who also have obesity in conjunction with a plastic surgeon for the treatment of the disease to optimize outcomes and improve function. It will also cover the latest information on the coverage and safety of lipedema surgery, which is essential to counsel patients on this increasingly relevant treatment option. Additionally, the speakers will address the challenges of treating this previously little-known population.
