Obesity Medicine 2025 - Building an Obesity Treatment Plan (Live)
Obesity Medicine 2025 pre-conference course on April 23-24, 2025. Up to 12.5 CME/CE
This is a 1.5-day interactive course offering advanced education about the evidence-based approaches for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating obesity in a clinical setting. The content is appropriate for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinicians-in-training, and other healthcare providers who treat patients with the disease of obesity. The four main topics of discussion will be Motivational Interviewing, Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes Management, and Patients with Obesity and Limited Resources.
On the first day, attend lectures on these four topics to learn how they intertwine with the basic concepts that define obesity as a disease, the pathophysiology of obesity, and how to evaluate patients for obesity and these adiposity related diseases. On the second day, attendees will work in breakout groups on patient cases to develop comprehensive treatment plans using interventions in all four treatment pillars: nutrition therapy, physical activity, behavioral modification, and medical interventions.
