Obesity Medicine 2025 - Don’t Miss the Clues! Advanced Bariatric Nutrition and the MBS Patient (Recorded)
This presentation is designed for obesity medicine providers to build practical skills and advance their knowledge in nutrition assessment and evaluation of the metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) patient. It involves a higher and more complex level of bariatric nutrition knowledge based on the current scientific evidence and nutrition recommendations for MBS patients. Less familiar bariatric nutrition concepts and more unusual nutrition cases with findings will be incorporated into the lecture content. Discussion will focus on three main sections: preoperative bariatric nutrition optimization, preventing micronutrient deficiencies, and post-surgical nutrition care.
