Obesity Medicine 2025 - Opportunity for Shared Decision Making: Tirzepatide for OSA with Obesity (Recorded)

Rising obesity rates are driving an epidemic of obesity-related OSA while access to care from a sleep specialist is limited. The SURMOUNT-OSA studies investigated tirzepatide as a treatment option for moderate to severe OSA with obesity. If approved as a treatment option, non-sleep specialists caring for patients with obesity and OSA will need to assess risk and develop care plans based on shared decision making. Equipping obesity medicine and primary care clinicians with the knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage people living with OSA and obesity would help to address this unmet need. This session aims to use case-based discussion to address real-world practice clinical considerations when using tirzepatide in people with OSA and obesity.
