Obesity Medicine 2025 - Reproductive Health and Medical Therapies (Recorded)
This session focuses on managing weight in reproductive-age women with obesity. An initial discussion of the impact of excess weight on reproductive health will be followed by a review of the benefits of weight loss for women with infertility, PCOS, and other reproductive health challenges. We will explore how anti-obesity medications (AOMs) and surgical treatment options can be safely incorporated into comprehensive treatment plans. Participants will be able to discuss the impact of obesity-related metabolic dysfunction on reproductive health, identify candidates who would benefit from AOM’s or bariatric surgery as well as how to manage those patients both before and after they become pregnant.
