Obesity Management Foundations for the Primary Care Clinician - Module1 Session 2


This course will review the physiological and psychological health risks associated with obesity, and will examine the impact that obesity has on society.  The effect of weight bias and stigma on people living with obesity will be reviewed, and the use of people first language will be discussed.  The importance of early diagnosis and treatment of obesity will be examined, and the chronic care model will be presented as appropriate approach to long term disease management.
