ForwardWeight Bias in Children and Adolescents: Intersections and Opportunities (Recorded Webinar)
Weight bias and victimization can negatively affect the mental and medical well-being of children and adolescents. This is especially true among those who identify as LGBTQ or gender minority. Drs. Chaves and Williams will discuss this important topic, as well as describe the effect of weight bias on health and treatment. Through the use of health behavior theories, they will describe ways to mitigate the impact of weight and other biases in the care of children and adolescents.
