Fueling GLP-1 Therapy with Nutrition and Strength Rx (Recorded Webinar)

Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1s) have transformed the treatment landscape for obesity. However, their long-term success is often limited by persistent gastrointestinal side effects, the risk of nutritional deficiencies, muscle and bone mass loss, and weight regain upon medication cessation. This session provides an in-depth evidence-based best look at how targeted nutrition and exercise interventions can help mitigate these challenges and optimize patient outcomes.

This session highlights strategies for integrating comprehensive nutrition and strength-focused exercise interventions into patient care. Participants will learn how to conduct thorough patient-centered nutritional assessments, implement effective dietary modifications to mitigate GI side effects, and strategically optimize nutrient intake. Additionally, an emphasis will be placed on designing and integrating robust resistance training programs, alongside aerobic activity, to counteract muscle and bone loss, a critical challenge in GLP-1-induced weight reduction.
