Pregnancy After Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (Recorded Webinar)

As the chronic, progressive, relapsing disease of obesity becomes more prevalent, so does the number of patients seeking surgery for management, and the population undergoing this treatment is primarily young females. The propensity for caring for a post-bariatric surgery patient in any care setting is increasing and so is the likelihood of these patients to conceive in the following months and years, requiring specific needs for the health and safety of both mother and baby. This presentation aims to fill a knowledge gap on how to assist in caring for these women as well as provide some pearls that apply to all post-op patients.
